Quick Eats is a mobile ordering app designed for people who want a fast, convenient food-ordering experience. I chose Momo as the focus of this project because it is one of Nepal's most popular foods and can be prepared quickly, making it a great fit for a fast-food restaurant concept. As I am from Nepal and now living in the United States, I wanted to create a project that reflects a food I grew up with while also appealing to people who enjoy exploring different flavors and cuisines. After trying Momo at restaurants in different states, I was inspired by how it has become increasingly popular and appreciated by a diverse range of customers.
I wanted the design to reflect the food's cultural roots while still feeling modern and approachable. To achieve this, I incorporated a Himalayan-inspired image in the background on all pages, but it's faint and visual elements throughout the interface. I started the project by sketching logo ideas, developing user flows, and creating low-fidelity wireframes before designing the final high-fidelity mobile screens in Figma.
The app allows users to customize their Momo, place orders, and navigate the menu with ease. To bring the design to life, I used Figma Make to add responsive interactions and create an interactive prototype that demonstrates key user journeys and app functionality. This project allowed me to combine a familiar aspect of my culture with UI/UX design to create an experience focused on speed, simplicity, and usability.
